Hello everyone, I am the Roving Dad! Thanks for joining me! I have always had a knack for writing, and I love to travel, so I thought to myself, “why not combine the two?” Viola! Here we are. I’ve had quite an adventurous life so far between growing up in East Tennessee, becoming a whitewater river guide, my time in the United States Air Force, and a being an all around thrill seeking nature lover.
Some time ago my wife and I decided that before our little rug rat leaves the nest, we want to take to him to as many parks and natural wonders as we can. He is growing up too fast! This blog will chronicle our family adventures and serve as a rough travel guide for aspiring rovers.
I have plenty of trips and adventures planned for 2018, and I hope you will be following along. My next trip will be to Costa Rica in a few weeks!
